A searchable catalog of stuff. Parts of the search result can be selected and added to a product list.

Background

The idea comes from the experience of buying clothes on a physical store, a consumer usually wants to test several different outfits but not always bring all of it home. This tool allows a user to select an arbitrary number of garments and see how they go together.

Objective

We strive to build a virtual dressing room where a user can easily bring items to, and experiment with it.

Programming

We mixed a few technologies to achieve our goal, we have algolia as data source and also search mechanism and we have svelte to build the client side application.

Evaluation

We have pretty much a very basic MVP of the project, we had the vision of making it animated and eye-pleasing, sadly time limit was not enough to achieve such vision, it is quite functional anyways. To add this to a shopping cart, it should be just a matter of calling the shopping cat specific api with the skus that we already have in the dressing room.
